You should set yourself up the best you can. This is the important thing for life in general. Look into what kind of jobs that MOS can get you outside of the Corps. I can answer some questions if you have them. If any of these interested you talk to your recruiter. If you graduate MSG school (does have about a 60% attrition rate) you serve at two posts each for a year and then go to the fleet but will you most likely already be a Cpl and about 3 years in that point. With this 5 year contract you will go to ITB and after graduation you will go to either security forces school or MSG school. MSGs are stationed at embassies and consulates all over the world. Reason I say this is I’m currently on MSG duty and work with many guys who have this contract. MG (Marine Guard): I think this contract is a excellent opportunity for young marines. These guys have a ton a pride in what they do some cool shit.ĭD (Cyber, Intelligence, Crypto Linguists Operations and Planning): If you want to be intel this is you a wide range of opportunity but lots if diversity of jobs in this contract can land you a neat good job in the civilian sector too. You work on the aircraft as well (engines mostly) not just a crewman.ĬE (Combat Support): If you are interested in artillery or AAV this for you. In my opinion here are some contacts I would consider if I were to do it over again.ĪG (Aircrew): Worked with them a good amount lots of hard work but also a lot of fun. For context I signed a CC (supply/legal/accounting) contract and became a Aviation Supply and I liked it honestly lots of problem solving and working with all kinds of people on the air field to help them with what they need. I have often thought if I were to do it over again if I would change my job and I kind of have a list if jobs I think are interesting/cool.
